Job Description

Processing claims by reviewing medical records, contacting providers regarding coverage issues, and negotiating with insurance companies on behalf of clients Meeting with clients to discuss their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options Working with clients to set up new policies or modify existing ones to ensure compliance with state laws Maintaining a database of client information such as addresses, phone numbers, and birthdates Processing new hires’ applications for insurance coverage, including collecting personal information and documenting family size Coordinating with insurance carriers to ensure that policies are current, accurate, and compliant with regulations Monitoring the status of claims to ensure timely payment, filing appeals if necessary, and working with lawyers to resolve legal disputes Managing the claims department and communicating with claimants about their cases Reviewing insurance rates and filing rate change requests with state agencies
